I'm looking to find the one. I'm ready to settle down with the right person and not looking for flings and casual relationships. However, I'm also open to meeting like-minded people to make new friends. Please take the time to tell me a little about yourself and what you think we'd have in common rather than just messaging "hi". I also dislike texting, lets see if we have things in common and based on my profile I'm sure you'll be able to tell whether or not we do based on what I've written. I am intelligent, introverted and looking for someone that is a good listener and able to keep an open mind before forming judgements.
I'm a person who has created a lifestyle where I have a good deal of free time and work minimally. I prefer to be in my garden than pouring concrete in the summer since I'm a mason by trade. Actually, I'm in my garden year-round because I have a large greenhouse. I like to grow or raise the majority of what I eat. I'm fortunate to have a beautiful piece of land where I'm creating my homestead. Looking for someone who wants to have a future there with me. Over the past 8 years I have begun projects on the property to become self-sufficient. My final step is to build a home and pond with no neighbors in site, in the middle of the property.
I strongly believe that you are what you eat and being aware of the dangers of the food supply, I try to eat only organic and clean. It's important for me to find someone who likes to cook together and also enjoys and shares in that love of creating meals and sharing our day's experiences. I do eat out occasionally at higher end places. Some of my favorite restaurants are Tailor and the Cook, Horned Dorset and Cafe Canole. When grocery shopping I rarely buy anything that is not organic and never gmo. I try to eat mostly from the garden and someday I hope to move more in the direction of veganism though I currently eat some organic meat and poultry.
I have a daily meditation practice and practice yoga several times a week. I am not a sports enthusiast as I feel sports, like tv, is a distraction. I prefer to watch documentaries that make me think and teach me things that help with personal development. My philosophy is that you're either growing, or dying as an individual and I'm still growing. I am a truth-seeker and I really enjoy helping others. Life is more enjoyable when you focus on the positive of all situations in which you are involved. I also believe that you should work so much on improving yourself that it leaves you no time to judge others.
I'm hoping to find someone who is not over-committed with life's duties and who has time for a passionate relationship and doing things together. I'm also a morning person and would need someone who enjoys watching the sunrise together and drinking herbal tea.
Enjoying the outdoors, living without fear and being open to new things are important traits for me to find in a partner. I don't need to meet anyone with the desire to change me or who feels the need to control my life.
